The Science
What is Levagen®+?
Levagen®+ is a bioavailable form of Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), a fatty acid the body produces naturally to support the skin's barrier and calm its response to stress. It is delivered using LipiSperse® dispersion technology, which allows it to disperse evenly through the formula and pass the skin's aqueous barrier for deeper delivery.
What makes it different from other active ingredients?
Most actives work at the surface. Levagen®+ is formulated to travel past the skin's barrier, working with the skin's own biology rather than sitting on top of it. This is the thinking behind "smart" skincare, formulas designed to support the skin's systems, not override them.
What does the research show?
In independent clinical testing, Levagen®+ as a stand alone ingredient, has been shown to support skin barrier function and visibly calm redness over a four-week period. Full findings are available on our ‘science’ page.
Using the Serum
How do I apply it?
One pump, morning and night, after cleansing and before moisturiser.
Can I use it with the rest of my routine?
Yes. It's designed to layer into an existing routine. As with any concentrated formula, we suggest introducing it on its own first, so you can see how your skin responds before adding it alongside other actives.
How long before I notice a change?
Skin often feels more hydrated from first use. In clinical testing of Levagen®+ as an ingredient, visible improvements in redness were recorded after four weeks of consistent, twice-daily use.
Skin Compatibility
Is it suitable for my skin type?
Yes, the formula is suitable for all skin types. As with any concentrated active formula, we recommend a patch test before full application.
I have sensitive skin. Is this safe to use?
Yes. Some users notice mild redness on first use, which is common with concentrated actives and not a sign the formula isn't working. Levagen®+ is formulated specifically to help calm this response and support the skin's barrier over time.
What should I do if my skin reacts?
Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if irritation continues beyond the initial adjustment period.
Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
There are no ingredients in this formula contraindicated for pregnancy or breastfeeding. Skin can respond differently during hormonal changes, so we suggest a patch test, and recommend checking with your physician if you have any concerns.
Will it help with breakout-prone skin?
The formula includes ingredients selected for their calming, clarifying properties, and Levagen®+ supports the skin's barrier and resilience, creating better conditions for clearer-looking skin over time.
Ingredients & Formulation
Is the serum vegan?
The formula contains N-Acetyl Glucosamine, a marine-derived ingredient sourced from crustacean shells, so it isn't classed as vegan. It is cruelty-free throughout, with every ingredient responsibly sourced.
Does it contain parabens or anything else I should be aware of?
No. The formula is free from parabens and anything we consider unnecessary for skin health.

Once opened please use within 12 months.
How should I store it?
At or below 25°C, away from direct sunlight, lid secured.
